Maulana Fazlur Rahman expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in a suicide attack in Shangla region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, saying that the situation of peace and security in the province has been greatly disturbed for a long time. He also condoled with China over the deaths of 5 engineers in the incident.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman condemned the suicide attack on Chinese citizens in Shangla, calling it a tragic incident. He stated that there is no peace, democracy, or economic progress in the country, and the situation of peace and security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been extremely disturbed for a long time.
He demanded that the criminals be brought to justice after thorough investigation, expressed condolences to Brother China, and mentioned that the Ulema-e-Islam organization stands in solidarity with the Chinese in their grief.
It should be noted that in the suicide attack on Chinese engineers’ car in Shangla, 5 Chinese citizens and a Pakistani driver lost their lives. DIG Malakand had informed that the foreigner’s car was going from Islamabad to Kohistan when it collided with a car laden with explosive materials coming from the opposite side near Besham, resulting in a powerful explosion. The intensity of the blast caused the Chinese engineers’ car to fall into a deep gorge and catch fire.
