Quetta: The government of Balochistan has made Quranic education mandatory in schools for Muslim students.
According to the spokesperson of the Balochistan government, Shahid Rind, a provincial cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jam Kamal on May 21 and 22, during which cabinet members approved various projects.
The spokesperson stated that the cabinet has made Quranic education mandatory for Muslim students, after which Quranic education will be provided along with other subjects in schools.
Additionally, the cabinet approved projects related to administrative matters and public welfare, while the Chief Minister has instructed to make comprehensive recommendations for improvement in the education and health sectors.
The Chief Minister has made promotions for officers and employees in both sectors contingent on performance, and the cabinet has also approved an amendment bill to prevent underage marriages and domestic violence.
