Kolkata: The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, has said that in the election results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lost his confidence and support, so he should immediately resign from the Prime Minister’s office.

According to international news sources, Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, said that in this election, Modi and his party had to wash their hands from several seats where they have always been successful in the past.

Mamata Banerjee further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party got 59 fewer seats in comparison to the last election, while the opposition got more than 140 seats in this election compared to the last one.

The Chief Minister of West Bengal also said that it is clear from this that the public no longer trusts Modi. They have lost their support. Therefore, Modi should resign and go home.

According to Indian media, Narendra Modi won in Varanasi but received fewer votes this time in the 2019 election compared to the last one. In the previous election, he defeated the opposition candidate by 4 lakh votes, while this time he lost by one lakh votes.
