The nomination papers of the mother and sister-in-law of Usman Dar were rejected, while his brother, Omar Dar, was arrested. According to Express News, the issue of rejection of nomination papers of PTI candidates from Sialkot NA-71 has come to light. The nomination papers of Rehana Imtiaz Dar, Omar Dar’s mother, and Aruba Dar, his wife, were rejected. Both mothers-in-law had submitted papers for Khawaja Asif’s contest from NA-71. According to R.O. Muhammad Iqbal Sanghera, both candidates are liable for social security contributions of Rs. 4,12,000, and both candidates have two plots in the area of Gujarpur, but both candidates did not mention these two plots.
It has been mentioned in the request that Omar Dar was abducted, against which a petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court. The request has been filed by Abuzar Salman Khan Niazi, on behalf of Usman Dar, in which the IG Punjab, CPO Lahore and other officials have been made respondents. The request states that Omar Dar went to a private hotel last night to eat, where more than 40 people abducted him, including police uniformed personnel. The mother of the abductee is contesting elections against PML-N leader Khawaja Asif in Sialkot, and the abductee’s family is being continuously targeted for political revenge. The court has ordered the recovery of Omar Dar.
