Shafqat Mahmood has announced that he will not be contesting in the upcoming general elections. The former federal minister and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stated that he had filed nomination papers for the National Assembly seat NA-130 and the Provincial Assembly seat PP-170 in Lahore, but has now decided to withdraw from the elections. Shafqat Mahmood made it clear that he is no longer a candidate for any constituency and prayed for Allah to be the protector and helper of all.
