In Karachi, Session Judge Larkana has resigned from his position, citing threats and pressure as reasons for his decision. According to sources, Session Judge Larkana Syed Sharafuddin Shah’s resignation has been received by the Sindh High Court. The resignation alleges that the clerk of Justice Saleem threatened severe consequences for not giving a job to the clerk’s son.
In his resignation, the Session Judge wrote that pressure was exerted to issue a decision without conducting a medical check-up, and the Additional Registrar instructed to issue a decision to Justice Saleem’s clerk’s son. It is also mentioned in the resignation that reports of inspections of lower courts in Larkana were leaked for my mockery. Notes written during Justice Saleem’s inspection were also shared on social media without any evidence, and instructions given during the inspection were included in my personal file.
Session Judge Larkana Syed Sharafuddin Shah wrote in his resignation that after 27 years of serving in the judiciary, he cannot continue employment in such a humiliating environment.
