A Pakistani citizen has been accused of trying to forcibly send back his Indian wife, who married him out of love, to India. However, the attempt to send Farzana back to India was unsuccessful.

The police in Sheikhupura have registered a case against the husband, Murtaza Yousuf Elahi, on the request of the Indian woman. According to Farzana, she married Pakistani citizen Murtaza Yousuf Elahi in Dubai in 2015 and he brought her to Pakistan from Dubai in 2018, during which time they had two sons.

During her stay in Pakistan, it was revealed that her husband was already married and this was his fourth marriage with her. When she protested against this betrayal, her husband, Murtaza Yousuf Elahi, along with his first wife and sons, resorted to violence and threats.

Farzana Begum stated that for the past year, her husband had kept her locked up in a house in the Rahman Garden area with security guards stationed outside. During the Eid holidays, her husband and some men in police uniforms came to their house, confiscated her mobile phone, threatened her, and then took her to the Wagah border in an attempt to forcibly send her back to India.

According to Farzana, even at the Wagah border, her husband subjected her to severe violence, but the attempt to send her back to India was not successful as she did not wish to go back.

The immigration authorities at the Wagah border also confirmed the incident and informed that the woman’s husband had given her a divorce and wanted to send her back to her country, but she did not wish to go.

Latest information reveals that the police in Sheikhupura have registered multiple cases against Murtaza Yousuf Elahi on the request of Farzana Begum.
