Under the leadership of Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharti, a record was set in the province of Punjab for planting one lakh nine thousand plants in one minute as part of the World Forest Day. The initiative was launched in Changa Manga forest, marking the beginning of Punjab’s largest tree plantation campaign. Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab for a greener Punjab, 13,000 students planted the trees in Changa Manga forest in just a minute. The monitoring of the “Plant for Pakistan” campaign is being done using modern technology, QR codes, Geographic Information Systems, and live data. Provincial Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharti urged every citizen to participate in the “Plant trees for Pakistan” campaign to make it successful.
