Lahore: Senior leader of the Muslim League (N) and former Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif has said that there is no grouping within the PML-N regarding ticket distribution, but differences are natural.

Speaking in a program on Express News, senior leader of the Muslim League (N) Khawaja Asif said that it should not be the case that there is a one-sided competition in the elections. The message should be clear that the elections will be fair and transparent, voters should have the right to vote for their preferred candidate, and no party should have any complaints about the electoral process.

He said that there should be no complaints related to the elections, I have no doubt that the public will be given complete freedom. Insha’Allah, we will achieve a simple majority, our target is to gain a simple majority in the elections.

In response to a question, the former Minister of Defense said, “There is no grouping within the party regarding ticket distribution. As the elections approach, there are several candidates in each constituency, in such a situation, differences are natural but decisions will be made in the best interest of the party.”

Khawaja Asif said that priority will be given to those who are loyal to the party, the decision on ticket distribution will be made within 2 to 4 days, and Nawaz Sharif will make the final decision on the matter if there is no agreement on ticket distribution within the party.

Answering a question about joining the Pakistan People’s Party and seat adjustment, Khawaja Asif said, “I have no knowledge about this matter because we are currently finalizing our party’s ticket distribution matters. Once we have finalized our matters, then decisions about alliances will be made.”

Khawaja Asif said that our harmony with the Muslim League-Q is from the time when we were allies, and there is also understanding with the MQM and the JUI, I don’t think that the PPP was present at that time, if there is agreement on a point with the PPP then it’s okay, otherwise, we will bring our representatives.
