Hamas has said that further escalations will not stop until there is a complete cessation of Israeli attacks in Gaza. This statement from Hamas comes at a time when two days ago, Israeli forces killed three of its own citizens by firing. All three citizens were unarmed and were moving forward holding a flag of peace.
Following this incident, pressure for a ceasefire on Tel Aviv has increased from pro-Israel European countries, and in this series, the foreign ministers of Britain and Germany have demanded a “ceasefire” and said that “thousands of innocent civilians have already been killed.”
Furthermore, Hamas has made it clear that the release of Israeli prisoners and detainees is conditional on the cessation of attacks, and in this regard, a message has been sent to all parties involved in the mediation process.
Hamas also said, “If the series of attacks on civilians continues, instead of the release of Israeli prisoners, they will demand the release of a large number of Palestinian prisoners, including high-profile figures.”
On the other hand, the Israeli Prime Minister has pledged to return 129 prisoners held by Hamas. He said, “The Israeli war will continue until the end of Hamas.”
According to Israeli media, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnia, met with Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani at the end of the week, where discussions on new negotiations with Hamas took place.
