Islamabad: The Election Commission has decided to reject the request to remove federal ministers from their positions. Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja stated during the hearing of the request regarding the removal of federal ministers due to their influence on elections or political affiliations, that there is no concept of an impartial government in the world, but the concept of a non-partisan government exists here so that the government appears impartial. It is concerning that Ahad Cheema and Fawad Hassan are closely associated with a political party. Is this not concerning?

Under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja, a 5-member bench heard the case, in which applicant Azizuddin Kakakhel informed the commission that Tawqeer Shah has resigned. Fawad Hassan Fawad and Ahad Cheema have been appointed on a political basis. They should also be removed.
A member of the commission stated that appointing an advisor is the prerogative of the Prime Minister. How can we remove them? The Chief Election Commissioner said that if any member of the cabinet is politically active or showing favoritism towards any party, the commission takes action. Did you find any evidence that these members are involved in political activities?
The applicant stated that if these members remain in the cabinet, then they will influence the elections.
The Additional Attorney General, while giving arguments, said that the civil servants do not belong to any political party; their work is to serve every government, which is an important point to note. They are good administrators, not politicians. The commission members questioned why Nagraht Prime Minister comes? What is the need for an advisor? His job is to conduct elections. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet was removed upon our recommendation. The establishment division runs the entire country.
The Additional Attorney General stated that the Nagraht Prime Minister is responsible for running the entire government. They do not have any political affiliation. The establishment made all appointments of the Election Commission at will. The commission members stated that it would not be appropriate for any other advisor to be appointed.
