Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan has taken important steps in preparation for the general elections in 2024 by issuing notifications for the appointments of district returning officers and returning officers.
According to the spokesman of the Election Commission of Pakistan, notifications have been issued for the appointments of district returning officers, returning officers, and assistant returning officers for the 2024 general elections.
The appointments of returning officers have been made for specific seats as well, and deputy commissioners will be responsible for completing the duties of district returning officers in the upcoming general elections for all national and provincial assembly constituencies.
In addition to appointments from the bureaucracy, returning officers have also been appointed from provincial and federal departments. The Election Commission has also issued a notification for the allocation of district returning officers from Peshawar’s bureaucracy.
According to the notification, there will be restrictions on the exchange of officers responsible for election duties.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission has ended the holidays in its election wing, and the announcement of the election schedule for the upcoming phases will be made.
