Rawalpindi: A female drug smuggler, along with her accomplice, was arrested for supplying drugs weighing over 10 kilograms to educational institutions. According to authorities, Naseerabad Police in Rawalpindi apprehended the smuggler, known as Basmeen Bibi alias Basu, and her associate during a secret operation conducted during a check-in. The suspects revealed the distribution of drugs in various educational institutions. Basmeen Bibi was found in possession of over 10 kilograms of drugs, while her accomplice had more than one kilogram of charas. The Rawalpindi Chief Police Officer, Khalid Hamdani, stated that solid evidence would be used to prosecute the arrested culprits and take necessary action as per the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister. The crackdown against major drug dealers is ongoing, with more than 900 arrests made during the previous lockdown period. The crackdown will continue in the future as well.
