Islamabad: Pakistani expatriates, supporters, and facilitators of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have transferred a large amount of money to Pakistan for the buying and selling of candidates in the upcoming elections.
According to sources, PTI supporters and workers residing outside of the country have transferred money into the accounts of workers in Pakistan with the purpose of influencing the general elections and ensuring the victory of their candidate by buying off opposing candidates.
Sources say that investigative agencies have obtained details based on solid evidence against PTI facilitators in Pakistan and abroad, and have prepared lists of all such individuals.
Security sources have indicated that significant action can be taken against those involved based on concrete evidence.
