The Counter Terrorism Department has claimed to have killed two terrorists entering Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in an exchange of fire. According to CT officials, security agencies and anti-terrorism department personnel signaled the terrorists to stop near Bhakkar, but they opened fire in response. In retaliation, the police officers immediately fired back, resulting in the death of both terrorists on the spot. The CT Department officials stated that the deceased terrorists were involved in an attack on a sensitive installation, and a significant amount of explosives were recovered from their possession. The killed terrorists are reportedly affiliated with a banned organization, and efforts are ongoing to identify them.
