Complete and versatile actor Mohammad Ali was born on April 19, 1931 in the city of Rampur in India. He had a passion for becoming a pilot but domestic financial circumstances brought him into the world of showbiz. His melodious voice made him a top radio broadcaster and also played an important role in bringing him into the film world. Mohammad Ali started his film career in 1962 with the movie “Chiragh Jalta Raha”. The film was inaugurated by the respected Mother of the Nation, Fatima Jinnah, but he gained real fame with the release of the film “Shararat” in 1963. He married actress Zeba and both achieved respect, dignity and fame in the film industry. Mohammad Ali and Zeba worked together in a total of 70 films, appearing as the hero and heroine in over 50 films. Mohammad Ali worked in a total of 277 films including “Baji”, “Dil Mein Kala” and “Riwaj”. Actor Mohammad Ali won 9 Nigar awards for his outstanding performances and exceptional acting. The government of Pakistan also honored him with the Pride of Performance and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his excellent performance. Mohammad Ali passed away on March 19, 2006, but he still lives on in the hearts of his millions of fans because of his spectacular and magnificent acting.
