The father of three children who was killed in the firing was from Swat.
Karachi: A husband of two wives was killed in firing at Liaqat Abad number three.
Liaqat Abad number three near Islamic Mosque Market, a person was killed in firing, identified as 45-year-old Yousaf son of Faisal, who had two sons from his first wife and a daughter from his second wife.
The deceased was from Swat, and at the time of the incident, he had come to Liaqat Abad with his first wife to his sister-in-law’s house. CCTV footage of the incident also surfaced, where it was seen that the deceased came out of his sister-in-law’s house on Sunday morning when an unknown assailant appeared on foot and after a brief argument, attempted to take the deceased’s motorcycle.
The deceased tried to stop him, but the assailant first intimidated him by firing a shot on the ground, and then fired another and a third shot on the deceased’s chest, causing his death. Relatives and residents of the area say that during the attempt to steal the motorcycle, the deceased was confronted with resistance, and there was no enmity or conflict of any kind with him.
SHO Supermarket Saleem Khan claims that the incident is not a robbery attempt but a result of personal animosity, as the assailant had the deceased’s mobile phone and 20,000 rupees in his pocket which he did not take.
