Islamabad: According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, there has been a significant increase of 103% in the annual basis income of agricultural machinery and equipment in the first 7 months of the current financial year.

In the first 7 months of the current financial year, a 49 million dollar exchange expenditure was incurred on the income of agricultural machinery and equipment, which is 103% higher compared to the same period of the previous financial year. On the other hand, there has been a 5% increase in the annual basis income of LNG in the first 7 months of the current financial year.

According to statistics, a $2.29 billion exchange expenditure was incurred on the income of LNG from July to January 2023, which is 5% more compared to the same period of the previous financial year.

Additionally, a growth of 49% in the annual basis income of cotton yarn has been recorded in the first 7 months of the current financial year.

According to State Bank, there has been a 24.5% growth in purchasing trends through credit cards in December on an annual basis.

In December 2023, consumers made payments worth 108 billion rupees through credit cards, which is 24.5% higher compared to December 2022. According to State Bank, there has been a decrease of 21% in direct foreign investment on an annual basis in the first 7 months of the current financial year in the country.

According to statistics, a direct foreign investment of $689 million has been recorded in the first 7 months of the current financial year, which is 21% less compared to the same period of the previous financial year.
