In our era, corruption has decreased, as acknowledged by Transparency International and other global organizations, says President of PML-N.
Lahore: President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters should vote for Transparency International’s report instead of voting for PTI.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, the former Prime Minister said that in our era, corruption has decreased. Transparency International and other global organizations are also providing evidence. During Imran Khan’s era, money was being embezzled everywhere, yet the Corruption Index increased despite PTI. The report on transparency will prove who the thieves are. PTI supporters should vote for the transparency report instead of their party.
The President of PML-N said that Nawaz Sharif had built the motorway in 1997, due to which allegations of corruption were levied against us, but no allegations could be proven. The rigged government imposed the worst corruption allegations against us. By labeling us as thieves, a curse was placed on this country that is difficult to handle. If a minor corruption is proven against me, I will withdraw my nomination papers.
He revealed that Saqib Nisar had called me and asked, “What did you do for electricity?” I replied, “Are you just sitting in an air-conditioned room?” The PML-N said that Nawaz Sharif has come to forgive the bitter memories of the past. Imran Niazi used to say that I would leave them, I will not leave them, such a thing was never done by Nawaz Sharif. If Allah gives a mandate to Nawaz Sharif, we will bury the noise and commotion.
He said that millions of boys and girls will go to vote, the future is tied to this election, who will become the ruler of the country, let the people decide on 8th February.
A sea has formed in Karachi
Commenting on the flooding in Karachi due to rain, Shehbaz Sharif said that a sea has formed in Karachi. I had said that there should not be a debate with Bilawal, there should be a comparison. Yesterday a comparison was made in Karachi. Yesterday a comparison was made between the water from the rain and the sea, if this situation had occurred in Lahore after the rain, I would have withdrawn from the election and told Bilawal to fight the election from my constituency.
Buying votes with money is the worst insult to the vote
He said that he has good relations with Bilawal Bhutto, he should fight the election from wherever he wants. Everyone has the right to fight the election, to run their campaign, to put up banners and present their case. But buying votes with money is the worst insult to the vote.
