Washington: US President Joe Biden has stated that if Israel does not ensure the protection of civilians in Gaza, they are prepared to withdraw their support. A statement issued by the White House stated that President Biden telephoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and demanded that concrete and specific actions be announced for the protection of civilians, relief workers, and aid in Gaza, and that they be implemented.
President Biden made it clear that they will take immediate action on these measures by Israel and will determine their policy on Gaza accordingly. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a media interview that if we do not see the changes we want to see, our policy will change. America has been demanding for months that Israel change its military tactics.
Since the Israeli attacks on Gaza began on 7th October last year, 33,000 Palestinians have been martyred, mostly women and children.
