Islamabad: President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, contacted Iranian counterpart Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi over the phone and extended an invitation for a visit to Pakistan. According to a statement issued by the President’s office, President Asif Ali Zardari and Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi had a phone conversation in which they exchanged Eid greetings.
The statement further mentioned that President Zardari expressed heartfelt condolences and solidarity with Iranian leadership and bereaved families on the Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, while also calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and expressing concerns over the humanitarian crisis and atrocities committed by Israeli forces.
President Asif Ali Zardari stated that Pakistan will continue to work with Iran in all areas of mutual interest to further promote bilateral cooperation. He also emphasized the need to enhance information exchange to address security challenges faced by both countries.
President Zardari extended an invitation to the Iranian President for a visit to Pakistan, while also conveying good wishes for the health, well-being, and happiness of the Iranian President and his family.
