Netflix has signed a long-term broadcast deal with WWE to become the exclusive new home of its flagship program “Raw” in the United States starting in 2025. The $5 billion deal includes an option for Netflix to extend for another 10 years or opt-out after the initial five years. This move by Netflix further solidifies its push into sporting events. The deal also marks another move by streaming giants to build their portfolio of live sporting events, with Amazon investing in Diamond Sports Group and Apple TV owning global rights for US Major League Soccer.
