Have you ever tried to find out who you are? Most people don’t know who they are. Most of us will answer yes, but that answer might be just our name, age, where we were born, and what we do in life, nothing more. But who we really are, that is a very interesting question.

They say knowing others is intelligence, but knowing yourself is true wisdom. But knowing ourselves is the most difficult task in this world. Because we know everyone and become strangers to someone, but when we become strangers to ourselves. We always remain strangers to the soul within us, and we may never truly meet ourselves.

Knowing who you are is more important than knowing what others know and think about you. Some people’s ego is so big that they feel threatened by their own self-awareness. Their ego never lets them meet themselves. They prove to be the biggest villains in their own story, who don’t need an enemy, as they do this job very well with themselves.

Searching for self-identity is really a difficult task, and most people don’t know who they are and why their behavior is the way it is in life. We have always learned from our elders that we should speak the truth to ourselves. But how many of us really do that? Most people think they know everything about themselves in their lives. But the reality is quite the opposite. Knowing oneself does not mean knowing your favorite color, favorite book, etc. Knowing yourself means knowing your inner heart, knowing the depth within you.

We need to search within ourselves to deal with life’s problems. If we find ourselves, it will be easier for us to know why certain things happened to us in the past. We can better our relationships with people and find answers to our inner questions. During their lives, humans face many problems. It depends on them whether they turn them into benefits or losses. An optimistic human always sees every problem as an opportunity for his betterment. Whereas a pessimistic person sees every problem as a hurdle, and he doesn’t take long to blame others for every mistake, shortcoming, and failure. It seems to him that other than him everyone is wrong. He doesn’t see any flaws within himself.

According to Rumi, everything in the universe is within you. Although searching within oneself is a difficult act, it is not impossible. This act will force you to know your inner self and what kind of person you are.

To know yourself:
Observe how your environment affects you.
Know about your strengths, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes.
Understand how moods and emotions affect your mental state.
What impact are the things happening around you having on your personality and what is your reaction?
Check how you interact with others. Are you a good-natured person or irritable?
Knowing yourself and understanding yourself can help in making better decisions and living a good life. Confidence keeps growing with this action. When you know yourself completely, then only you can understand your weaknesses and strengths. It makes you aware of your likes and dislikes in life. So take some time in your life to explore your inner self.

When we know ourselves, we actually know the world. We start seeing other people as our brothers and sisters. We start looking at life from a perspective in which everything seems different and infinite.

Knowing yourself is the greatest power. You will have to know how your positive aspects and weaknesses affect you. You have to understand yourself first. Then you will be able to understand the people around you correctly. Pay attention to who you are!
