WhatsApp, the messaging platform owned by Meta, has recently launched a new feature called “Community Examples” on its iOS beta version.

Community Examples is designed to assist beta users in creating communities by providing instructional examples through a shortcut that leads to an official FAQ.

The official FAQ provides users with instructions and tips on community creation, as well as the ability to add groups to the community and communicate with community members through a special announcement group.

This feature aims to encourage more users to create and engage in communities on WhatsApp.

If you are interested in using this new feature, you can update to the WhatsApp beta for iOS via the TestFlight app. However, it is generally advised to use beta versions on a secondary device.

What Are WhatsApp Communities?

WhatsApp introduced Communities in November last year. This feature allows users to bring multiple groups together under one umbrella. It is particularly useful for organizing communication related to workplaces, schools, housing societies, and neighborhoods.

With Communities, you can send announcements or start discussions within the group without having to message each individual separately.

Animated Avatars

In addition to the Community Examples feature, WhatsApp has also rolled out an animated avatar feature on its iOS beta version.

To check if the animated avatar feature is enabled for your account, open the keyboard and select the avatar tab. Some avatars will have animations for beta users.

Users can share these animated avatars with anyone, even if they are not using the beta version of WhatsApp. While currently only a limited number of stickers are animated, it is expected that WhatsApp will introduce an animated version of the entire avatar pack in the future.

The animated avatar feature is currently available to some beta testers who have installed the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app and will be gradually rolled out to more users in the coming days.

Stay tuned to WhatsApp’s latest features and updates to make the most out of your messaging experience!
