Austin: A technology expert has warned of a storm of cyber crimes coming in 2024 with the advancement of artificial intelligence technology.
Chief Security Officer of software company CrowdStrike, Shawn Henry, recently expressed his concerns, stating that cyber criminals could use artificial intelligence to hijack people’s cyber security defenses, spread misinformation, or gain access to corporate networks.
A retired official from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that cyber criminals using artificial intelligence could potentially deceive people through the use of AI during elections and provide sensitive information.
This warning from a cyber security veteran comes at a time when artificial intelligence is being increasingly utilized, including by the federal and state governments of the United States.
Artificial intelligence has been deployed in 27 federal government agencies and also in several states.
