A video of a humorous moment involving India pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj has gone viral on social media after the team’s historic victory over South Africa in the second Test at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.

India put on a commanding bowling performance to win the second Test and draw the two-match series.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj performed excellently, taking a total of 15 wickets together. Mohammed Siraj, in particular, took six wickets that helped dismiss South Africa for just 55 runs in their first innings, earning him the title of Player of the Match.

During the presentation ceremony, Mohammed Siraj surprised everyone, including his teammate Jasprit Bumrah, with his English-speaking skills.

The viral video showed Mohammed Siraj bringing Jasprit Bumrah as his translator. However, instead of needing a translator, Mohammed Siraj answered the presenter’s question in English, which caught Bumrah off guard and made him laugh.

In the second test at Newlands, India chased down a modest victory target of 79 to claim a seven-wicket win over South Africa, sharing the two-match series 1-1 in an extraordinary game that finished within five sessions.

India seamer Jasprit Bumrah took 6-61 to bowl South Africa out for 176 in their second innings just before lunch on the second day. The visitors completed the win in 12 overs, reaching 80 for three.

Rohit Sharma finished not out on 16 and Shreyas Iyer on 4, with Yashasvi Jaiswal (28), Shubman Gill (10), and Virat Kohli (12) being the other wickets to fall.

The Newlands pitch is set for scrutiny as the match was completed in 642 balls, making it the shortest-ever Test in which there has been a winner, beating Australia’s 656-ball victory over South Africa in 1932.
