Under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, alliance members of the League suggest not forming a single-party government

In Lahore, leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-N have suggested to the party leadership not to form a government in the federation.

The inside story of the party meeting under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has come to light, according to which a detailed briefing was given on the matters of government formation in the federation and Punjab.

It is said that the partners openly expressed their opinions at the meeting and conflicting opinions of the members regarding forming a government in the federation or not were revealed.

It is said that the participants at the meeting suggested that in the current situation, the PML-N should not form a government in the federation without the Pakistan People’s Party, and detailed briefings should be given to the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party about the country’s deteriorating economic situation.

The meeting was briefed that the current economic situation has become extremely serious and difficult, and no party can overcome it alone. Members also gave another suggestion that serious efforts should be made to form a government in the federation under the formula of saving the state, bringing all the political parties together on one platform and forming a coalition government in the federation and each party should play its part in pulling the country out of the economic crisis in the national interest.

The League sources said that due to the conflicting opinions at the meeting, the PML-N leadership could not make a final decision on government formation in the federation, while another meeting was decided for further discussion on government formation in the federation.

The meeting under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif in which Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Ishaq Dar, Maryam Aurangzeb, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Salman Shahbaz, and Malik Ahmad Khan among others were also present.
