The victim’s father reported in the first information report (FIR) that two seminary teachers, Zeeshan and Anis, had sexually assaulted and tortured 14 students, including his son. The suspects were said to have used knives to make marks on the students’ bodies and threatened them.

After the FIR was lodged, the police conducted a raid and arrested Anis, while his accomplice Zeeshan remains at large. In a similar incident in 2021, a seminary teacher was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting and torturing a student in Rawalpindi’s Pirwadhai area.

The Pirwadhai police filed an FIR against Mufti Shahnawaz Ahmed based on the victim’s father’s complaint. According to the father, the seminary’s management called him to pick up his daughter, who had blacked out. When she regained consciousness, she alleged that the teacher had been trying to harass her for months and tortured her when she resisted. She claimed to have been given a drug and fainted, unable to recall what happened next.
