The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recently apprehended two Afghan citizens for their involvement in the production of counterfeit medical documents under the guise of the Afghan Friendship Hospital.

During the raid conducted by FIA officials, a number of stamp cards were recovered from the suspects’ shop, providing concrete evidence of their fraudulent activities.

This incident follows the recent arrest of an individual involved in the illicit hawala and hundi business by the FIA. It was discovered that the accused had connections with an international network engaged in illegal currency exchange operations.

Furthermore, a significant amount of Rs two million was seized from the suspect’s possession, adding to the suspicion surrounding their activities.

The investigation also revealed various hawala and hundi receipts, suggesting the existence of a potential code or reference used within the illegal currency exchange network.

The arrested individual, identified as Zahir Shah, was found to be conducting unauthorized money-changing operations, which is a clear violation of regulatory requirements.

Authorities remain dissatisfied with Zahir Shah’s explanations regarding the origin and purpose of the currency found in his possession, further deepening suspicions about his involvement in illegal activities.

The recovery of crucial evidence, indicative of international contacts, provides important leads for the investigation into the extent of the accused’s participation in the illegal currency exchange network.
