Traffic police apprehends driver who threatened to hit officer with a stick

Karachi: Near Millennium Mall, Traffic Police arrested a man who showed a weapon and threatened to kill a car driver near Gulistan-e-Jauhar and filed a case against him. According to a spokesman for the traffic police, at around 5:30 pm on Wednesday, ASI Yousuf stopped a white Toyota Corolla with a registration number AE PK-312 on a violation of traffic laws. The car had a fancy number plate and tinted windows.
Upon stopping the car, the driver, identified as Faizan Ali Khan, took out his gun and threatened to kill the traffic police officer who intervened in his actions. Other officials present at the scene and ASI Yousuf managed to control the person and immediately called for backup from the rescue team and local police to arrest the culprit.
ASI Yousuf filed a case against the arrested suspect with case number 06/2024 under sections 353, 186, and 506 B. According to the complainant, when the driver was told he would be fined for violating traffic laws, he became agitated, made threats, and took out his pistol, threatening not to be fined or he would kill. ASI Yousuf, along with other officials, managed to capture the person and seized a 9mm pistol, even though the pistol had a license.
