The State Bank of Pakistan has reported that the US dollar has gained Rs0.77 against the Pakistani rupee, closing at Rs283.42. Additionally, the USD was trading at over Rs284 in the open market. Furthermore, the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s benchmark KSE-100 index increased by 314.13 points or 0.6% from the previous close. This was prompted by the Election Commission Pakistan announcing an election date of February 11 to the Supreme Court.
