Reports indicate that a group of terrorists attacked Tank Police Lines with advanced weapons, resulting in the martyrdom of a police officer and injuries to others during the confrontation. One of the terrorists was also killed in the exchange of fire. Heavy police presence has been deployed around the Tank Police Lines in response.
Earlier in November, a police officer was martyred in a similar attack on a Punjab Highway Patrolling Post in Mianwali. More than 10 terrorists attacked the patrolling post, resulting in an exchange of fire that led to the deaths of two terrorists and the martyrdom of PHP head constable Haroon Khan. The Punjab Police were on high alert following an intelligence report about the attack.
