NEW DELHI: A shocking incident took place in India’s capital Delhi, where a group of teenage boys brutally stabbed a 22-year-old man 25 times and then dragged his body until he passed away.
The tragic incident occurred in Delhi’s Badarpur, where five teenage boys fatally attacked Gaurav Singh with a sharp-edged knife and dragged him on the road until he succumbed to his injuries.
According to Indian media reports, the police have detained five suspects in connection with the murder. Police Deputy Commissioner South East Rajesh Dev stated that the victim, Gaurav Singh, was stabbed approximately 25 times.
During the attack, a police team on patrol arrived at the scene. The boys attempted to escape upon seeing the police, but the authorities managed to apprehend three of them at the scene, with the other two being arrested later.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police mentioned that two head constables witnessed the assailants attacking the victim and promptly apprehended them with the assistance of another police team.
The motive behind Gaurav’s murder has not been disclosed thus far.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for post-mortem.
