Soldier Martyred in North Waziristan Intelligence-Based Operation: ISPR

On Saturday night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that a soldier of the Pakistan army was martyred in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mir Ali, North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the army’s media wing, a fierce gun battle erupted between the troops and terrorists in Mir Ali. The soldiers effectively engaged with the terrorists and during the exchange of fire, Sepoy Shakil Shafqat fought bravely but unfortunately lost his life.

The ISPR mentioned that the locals of the area appreciated the operation, and efforts are underway to sanitize the area and eliminate any remaining terrorists.

In another operation on September 20, security forces killed a terrorist in an intelligence-based operation conducted in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District. During this operation, a firefight took place between the troops and terrorists, resulting in the death of one terrorist and the injury of another.

The ISPR also revealed that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorist, who was actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and the killing of innocent civilians.
