On August 22, an unfortunate incident took place in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in the martyrdom of six brave soldiers of the Pakistan army. The military’s media affairs wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed the news.
According to ISPR, an exchange of fire occurred between the troops and terrorists in the general area of Asman Manza. Pakistani soldiers effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of four terrorists and the injury of two others. However, during the intense firefight, six soldiers valiantly fought and embraced martyrdom.
The armed forces are carrying out sanitization operations in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists. This incident further strengthens the resolve of our troops to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
In a separate intelligence-based operation on August 19, two terrorists were killed in Bara area of Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These terrorists were actively involved in carrying out terrorist activities against security forces and targeting innocent citizens. Once again, sanitization operations are underway in the area to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorists.
The sacrifices made by our soldiers are a testament to their unwavering determination to protect our nation and rid it of terrorism. The armed forces remain steadfast in their mission to create a peaceful and secure environment for the people of Pakistan.
