Lahore: There has been significant progress in seat adjustments for the national and provincial assembly seats between the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the upcoming general elections.

According to details, the Muslim League (N) has expressed regret over the PTI’s list of 13 national and 22 provincial assembly seats, while indicating seat adjustments on 7 to 9 national and 11 to 14 provincial assembly seats.

It is said that a long meeting took place today between the leaders of both parties, which initiated final discussions, but Nawaz Sharif’s approval is still pending on this matter.

Reports suggest that the Muslim League (N) has rejected adjustments for Firdous Ashiq Awan, Humayun Akhtar, Farukh Habib, and Noreen Shakoor, while discussions are underway for Jehangir Tareen to contest from Multan instead of Lodhran’s NA-149 seat.

It is also said that Aleem Khan will be adjusted in LA-117 and Aown Chaudhry in LA-128 in Lahore, while Nauman Langrial will be adjusted in Sahiwal, Engineer Gul Asghar in Khushab, Amir Kiyani in Islamabad, and Ghulam Sarwar Khan in Rawalpindi.
