Saudi Arabia to Enhance Facilities for Pakistani Hajj Pilgrims

The Saudi Arabian government has pledged to provide additional facilities and improved services to Pakistani pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season, according to Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed. The announcement came following a meeting between Ahmed and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, in Riyadh.

Ahmed discussed the arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims and emphasized the need for enhanced facilities. He requested the prompt finalization of the flight schedule and the accommodation of Pakistani pilgrims closer to the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah.

The caretaker minister also proposed expanding the ‘Road to Makkah’ project to airports in Karachi and Lahore, in addition to Islamabad.

Ahmed expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman for their support in providing the best facilities to pilgrims. He also praised the Saudi government for continually improving services for pilgrims from Pakistan.

Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to further cooperation with Pakistan. He mentioned that the Saudi government was working on new initiatives to enhance the comfort and convenience of Pakistani pilgrims, including considering the expansion of the ‘Road to Makkah’ project to cities like Karachi and Lahore.

Both ministers expressed their desire to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
