Saudi Arabia Shows Interest in Pakistan’s Energy and IT Sectors

A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by the Kingdom’s Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Al-Khuraiji, recently visited Pakistan to explore investment opportunities in the country’s energy and IT sectors. This visit, which was the first from any friendly country to promote foreign investment through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s strong commitment to invest in Pakistan.

During their visit, the Saudi delegation received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s true potential and the role of SIFC as a one-stop-shop for facilitating foreign investment in various sectors. The delegation engaged in discussions with their Pakistani counterparts regarding specific development projects, during which they shared the benefits and proposed Saudi investment ideas for various sectors in Pakistan. Both sides expressed their determination to enhance bilateral cooperation and collaborate on various projects.

In addition to these meetings, the Saudi delegation also had the opportunity to meet with Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen the brotherly relations between the two countries.

The Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with the fruitful discussions held with Pakistani authorities and expressed optimism for continued collaboration in the future. He also mentioned the possibility of signing an agreement that would be mutually beneficial for both countries.

Waleed Al-Khuraiji reassured the Pakistani authorities that the Saudi leadership, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, has always been strong supporters of maintaining good relations with Pakistan.
