Peshawar: Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq has said that while the years change, the outdated system remains in place. The nation has the best opportunity to take a full part in the democratic process in the new year and make Jamaat-e-Islami candidates successful and lay the foundation for an Islamic welfare state.
Addressing a gathering in Loeer Dara, he said that those spreading uncertainty about the elections and defying the clear orders of the Supreme Court are denying democracy. He prayed for the new year to be a year of Islamic democratic revolution in the country and for success and prosperity for the entire Muslim nation, including the victory of the Palestinians and the freedom of oppressed Muslims, including Kashmiris.
The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami appealed to the people to trust the scales on February 8 and lay the foundation for an Islamic prosperous Pakistan. He said that the nation has the opportunity in the elections to rid themselves of corrupt parties.
Siraj ul Haq said that ruling parties have not given anything to the people besides poverty, inflation, and unemployment for decades, they are looking for more opportunities and believe in their turn. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the only party without the blemish of corruption, they are striving for the supremacy of law and justice in the country and the rights of the people, the nation should support us for a better future.
Siraj ul Haq said that if Jamaat-e-Islami comes, it will eliminate the interest-based economy, bring improvement in the national economy based on Zakat and Ushar. They said that they will bring the system of the Quran in the courts, provide young people with livelihoods, ensure the fair distribution of resources, and spend national resources on the people.
