Sanaullah Khan Zehri, a leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), delivered a scathing criticism of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) during a press conference at Bilawal Bhutto House in Karachi. He pointed out the contradiction in party supremo Nawaz Sharif’s statement regarding the founders of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and their place in the PML-N. Zehri also discussed his departure from the PML-N due to differences in principles and being barred from attending Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) gatherings. He expressed confidence in PPP’s prospects in the upcoming elections in Balochistan and hinted at forming a coalition government in the province. Notably, Zehri and former federal minister retired Lt Gen Abdul Qadir Baloch, who had previously left the PML-N, joined the PPP in 2021. This move came after Zehri was not invited to a PDM public meeting by the PML-N leadership, leading to his departure from the party.
