Rupee Continues to Weaken Against the Dollar, Drops by Rs1.79 in Interbank Trading – Business

The Pakistani rupee experienced a decline of Rs1.79 against the US dollar in interbank trading on Wednesday, prolonging its losses from the previous day. According to data from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), the local currency was traded at Rs293.30 against the greenback at approximately 10:15 am.

In the open market, the dollar was being exchanged for Rs302.

Yesterday, the rupee ended at 291.51 against the dollar as per the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) daily update. This resulted in a depreciation of Rs3 against the dollar at the end of the day.
