During Imran Khan’s appeal against the decision of punishment in the case of hidden marriage during ‘iddat’, the case has been transferred to a second court. District and Session Judge Shah Rukh Arjmand had written a letter to the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court to transfer the case, upon which the Islamabad High Court accepted the request to transfer the case to the second court.
Furthermore, the Islamabad High Court has transferred the case to Additional District and Session Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, who will now hear Imran Khan’s appeal against the decision in the hidden marriage during ‘iddat’ case.
It is important to note that during the previous hearing, one of the parties, Khawar Manika, had expressed distrust in District and Session Judge Shah Rukh Arjmand, after which the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court wrote a letter to transfer the case.
