Raipur main 5 accused involved in social harassment with transgender people

Rawalpindi: The Chief Commissioner and Inspector General of Police Punjab have taken notice in a case of social harassment and viral inappropriate videos and images with a transgender in the Wah Cantonment area.

According to details, the transgender had reported that five individuals had subjected them to explicit harassment and created inappropriate images and videos that they used for blackmail when the demands were not met.

Upon the appeal of the transgender, the Rawalpindi CPO Khalid Hamdani took notice and a case was registered against the accused. The IGP Punjab also took notice and has requested a report from the Rawalpindi RPO.

Khawaja Sara, from Multan, while registering the case, revealed that she had met Chaudhary Sarfaraz from Rawalpindi Gawalmandi through social media and had become acquainted with him at functions. She stated that during their last meeting, there were also his friends present who then forced her to consume alcohol and assaulted her with a weapon.

According to the affected person, the accused created inappropriate images and videos and demanded to continue a close friendship with them and fulfill their demands. When the demands were not met, the accused uploaded the inappropriate images and videos on social media.

Khawaja Sara mentioned that she suffered severe mental anguish and harassment after the accused viralized the videos and images.

The police have started raiding to arrest the accused after registering a case. Rawalpindi CPO Khalid Hamdani stated that the accused will soon be arrested and brought to justice.

He said that according to the Punjab government’s policy, the protection of marginalized classes and their rights is a top priority which will always be ensured. Additionally, the IGP Punjab has asked for a report from the Rawalpindi RPO on the incident.
