PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi was manhandled by police officials as they re-arrested him outside the Adiala Jail after he was granted bail in the cipher case by the Supreme Court. Qureshi had been released on bail after an order for detaining him for 15 days was withdrawn by the Rawalpindi DC. However, he was re-arrested and pushed by police officials despite being released on bail. The PTI strongly condemned the manner in which Qureshi was arrested and accused the state of crossing all limits of brutality and cruelty. The party also urged the chief justice of Pakistan to take notice of the abuse of power and issue orders for the recovery and release of Qureshi. Additionally, they called on the judiciary and Supreme Court to look into the matter and ensure that the elections are free and fair.
