Bushra Bibi, who is currently held in the couple’s Banigala residence, has claimed that she was given something like acid in her food, causing severe pain and health issues. The PTI has called for higher courts to intervene and has condemned the “fascist regime” for maliciously attacking Bushra Bibi and denying her medical aid. The party has also called for a full medical check-up for Bushra Bibi, who was sentenced to 14 years in jail in the Toshakhana reference and is currently staying in the Banigala residence, declared a sub-jail for her by the government. Despite speculations about a deal, Imran Khan has denied any such agreement, while Bushra Bibi has approached the Islamabad High Court against the notification regarding her residence.
