Senior lawyer and disgruntled PPP leader Sardar Latif Khosa has officially joined the PTI. He made the announcement at a press conference in Lahore, where he appeared with a PTI flag slung around his shoulders. The PTI also shared a video of Khosa on social media, saying he had “formally” joined the party.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the lawyer — who has represented PTI chief Imran Khan in several cases — said he took the step with the hope of taking the country towards a “beautiful” future. He also called on institutions to work within their constitutional limits and condemned the arrest of PTI’s Sher Afzal Marwat.
In September, the PPP had suspended Khosa’s party membership and ousted him from its central executive committee. This was after he had failed to reply to a show-cause notice for representing the PTI founder in several cases without prior approval from the PPP leadership.
