A violent clash between two groups over a land dispute in Karachi’s Machhar Colony resulted in the shooting deaths of three people, the police reported. The incident, which occurred near the Umer Bin Khattab mosque, was initially labeled as a result of a property dispute between Bengalis and Pakhtuns. Two suspects have been arrested, and a search operation is underway to find the remaining suspects. The police ruled out any political reason behind the shooting and stated that the victims had been involved in a land dispute for several years. The bodies were taken to Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, while the MQM-P alleged that their workers were targeted by “PPP terrorists.” The Sindh police chief has taken notice of the incident and sought more information from the South DIG.
