Lahore: An official who assaulted a woman and children while riding the train with them has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. The spokesperson of the railway department confirmed the viral video on social media and stated that the incident occurred on April 7th in the Millat Express where Constable Mir Hasan assaulted the woman and children.
According to the statement, the IG Railway Police took strict notice of the matter and directed action against the official, upon which DIG South Abdullah Sheikh immediately arrested Constable Mir Hasan and placed him in custody. DIG South stated that such officials do not deserve any leniency and such unethical behavior is unacceptable. The constable has been arrested and a case has been registered against him.
It was mentioned that besides legal action against the official, strict disciplinary action will also be taken, and a transparent investigation will be conducted on all aspects of the case. In order to prevent such incidents in the future, strict instructions have been issued to the railway police officials.
