The police and administration stopped the election rally of former PML-N leader and independent candidate Daniyal Aziz from NA-75 area in Shakargarh. According to details, Daniyal Aziz organized the first election rally in Shakargarh area of Narowal after not receiving a ticket from the Muslim League (N), which was stopped by the police before it even started.
The police removed the stage and chairs from the rally venue, and also turned off the lights and sound system. The administration said that Daniyal Aziz was holding the rally without permission, which is why the program was stopped. DSP Circle Rana Ehsan said that permission is necessary for any political program in the current security situation.
After the administration took action, Daniyal Aziz and his companions tried to negotiate and reached the rally venue, but they were unsuccessful. The administration said in clear terms that “without permission, no political party or candidate can hold a rally.” Daniyal Aziz said that they will take permission tomorrow and hold the rally at the same place according to the law, and will not violate any election code of conduct.
It should be noted that Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has been issued a ticket by the Muslim League N from NA-75 of the National Assembly, for which Daniyal Aziz has announced to contest the election as an independent candidate.
