Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections while remaining impartial. He dispelled the impression that a particular political party was being favored by the caretaker government and emphasized the focus on supporting the Election Commission for the purpose of holding transparent elections.

In an interview with a private news channel, PM Kakar denied allegations of his cabinet member Fawad Hassan Fawad having any affiliation with a specific political party, highlighting Fawad’s talent and abilities in justifying his role as Minister for Privatization.

Regarding the recent depreciation of rupee against the dollar, the prime minister stated that the artificial demand for the dollar had significantly reduced due to the government’s actions, leading to a more stable economy and achieving the staff level agreement with the IMF.

He emphasized that the courts would decide on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) matter and reiterated the government’s commitment to not allowing any group or party to resort to mob violence in the country.

PM Kakar also addressed the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, emphasizing the recent OIC meeting’s strong message for a ceasefire and condemning Israel for committing war crimes and atrocities. He noted the global protest against Israel’s actions, highlighting the issue as a humanitarian concern.
